UNC Football Game Day Parking

Every day is a good day to be a Tar Heel! And we especially love the excitement of UNC game days in Chapel Hill. For news, to view rosters, shop or to purchase tickets for all UNC athletics – visit www.goheels.com. Visit www.downtownchapelhill.com to plan your day enjoying a meal at our local restaurants or shopping for Tar Heel gear.

The Town of Chapel Hill requires special event parking fees on UNC home football game days in the following lots and decks.   Limited hourly parking will be available in the 140 West Parking Lot. The event parking fee will be $20 and will allow visitors to park for the entire day.

  • 140 West Parking Deck @ 213 West Rosemary Street
  • Rosemary/Columbia Lot @ 100 East Rosemary Street
  • Wallace Parking Deck @ 150 East Rosemary Street
  • North Columbia Lot @ 205 North Columbia Street
  • W Rosemary Lot @ 104 West Rosemary Street
  • Mallette Street Lot @ 106 Mallette Street

Hourly Parking

For UNC Football game days, hourly public /parking will be available as normal at any spaces not offering the special event rate.

Football Parking on UNC Campus:

There are several lots located on campus reserved for public parking.  Click here for more information.

UNC Basketball Parking

There is no special event fee for parking on UNC Basketball home games. Hourly parking will be available at all meters, including decks and surface lots on these days.

SUBJECT: Ticket Payment System and Transit Permit System Down May 21-26

The Parking ticket payment & Transit P&R permit purchases portal will be down for a system wide upgrade from Sunday at 5pm, May 21, until Friday, May 26th. There will be no way to pay a ticket or purchase a Park & Ride permit. During this time, the only ticket appeal option is to email parking@townofchapelhill.org and following the contest citation section on the back of the ticket.

During this time, please wait to purchase any transit P&R permits until the upgrade is completed. Notifications will be posted here when the system is back online.
