$20 Downtown Employee Parking Permit
$20 per month
This permit allows downtown food‑service employees to park in designated lots beginning at 3:30 pm each day. Hourly parking rate must be paid if parking before 3:30 pm and overnight parking is not allowed.
To apply for this permit, please download and complete the Downtown Employee Rental Agreement Form and submit it via email to parking@townofchapelhill.org. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
$80 Downtown Employee Parking Permit
$80 per month
This permit allows downtown food‑service employees to park in designated lots from 8am-8pm each day. Overnight parking is not allowed.

Monthly Leased Business Parking Permit
$145 per month
This leased permit is for daytime parking only and is valid during the paid hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Overnight parking is not allowed.

24-Hour Monthly Leased Business Parking Permit
$195 per month
This permit is 24 hours, 7 days a week, allowing overnight parking. However, it is offered in limited quantities.

Service Vehicle Parking Permit
$25 per month OR $150 annually
This permit is for qualifying maintenance service vehicles (plumber, electrician, utility, etc.) for $150.00 per year and would allow parking in the 2-hour metered areas downtown.

Mixed-Use Parking Permits
$150 annually
Employers may purchase mixed-use parking permits for employee use in or near mixed-use developments.

If you are the employee of a downtown business, please Cc the employer/manager in the email. Emails that do not come from the employer/manager or do not have the employer/manager Cc’d may not be answered or will prolong permit processing time beyond the 3-5 business days.
